GAC is working towards a replacement of key components of its legacy Grants and Contributions management system. In preparation for this initiative, extensive expertise in business transformation expected to streamline process supported with the introduction of latest technology. It is expected that the exploration, analysis, development and transition to modernized business processes and latest technological solutions will require a variety of professionals to fill in capacity and skill gaps of the project team. |
| Scope and objective |

The objective of this mandate is to manage a portfolio of initiatives addressing the needs of the numerous G&C user groups (External Partner and GAC employee). The technological platform is based Enterprise Grants and Contributions System led by Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat (TBS), but will integrate other components including document management, contracting, finance, collaboration, client portals, etc. |

· To improve Result Based Management (RBM) in the context of international assistance supported by Grant and Contributions agreements, a series of Design Thinking Sessions were developed and deploy with a Dry-Run multi-disciplinary teams and Soft Launch multidisciplinary Teams · Apply Design Thinking methodology and processes throughout the transformation initiative lifecycle to achieve quality, budget and schedule targets. · Document and communicate lesson learned from Design Thinking session including multiple Proof of Concept developed by both Design Thinking multi-disciplinary teams with stakeholders and senior management responsible for G&C transformation. · Develop and monitor mandate metrics such as key performance indicators to ensure satisfactory progress of the mandate. · Report progress of the mandate on an ongoing basis and at scheduled points in the mandate life cycle. · Review and document data governance typical GAC development international assistance projects · Defining project parameters such as project scope, timeline, integration, quality, risk, and cost within the project charter. · Monitor project risks and indicating when risk mitigation strategies identified in the risk management plan need to be executed. · Obtain resources to perform work as defined in the mandate deliverable. · Provide leadership in planning, organizing and controlling the effort to create an environment of transparency for all the team members. · Follow the Desing Thinking framework with Dry-run and Soft Launch groups to support innovation, support effective delivery of solutions, continual process innovation, support effective delivery of solutions. · Manage and lead facilitation of multiple Design Thinking session during the development, implementation and operations start-up by ensuring that resources are made available and that the project is developed and is fully operational within previously agreed time, cost and performance parameters. · Develop mandate schedule that will meet the project deliverables within the defined mandate duration. · Plan and manage internal and external project communications, ensuring effective exchange of project information and deliverables. |

The deliverables include the following (but not limited to): · Development of the methodology and deployment strategy of a series of Design Thinking Sessions to improve Result Based Management (RBM) in the context of international assistance supported by Grant and Contributions agreements. · Preparation of the supporting material on shared points and Mural to facilitate multiple Design Thinking virtual sessions such as Empathy, Define, Ideate, Prototype and Test sessions performed with SharePoint and Mural. · Develop a series homework to be completed in between Design Thinking Session · Support development and documentation governance at the strategic and tactical levels to support multiple concurrent transformation initiatives · Develop Methodology to support Business Process Reengineering to support multiple concurrent business transformation initiatives. High-level presentation material, Monitoring Dashboard and apply process mapping methodology in tandem with MIRO and VISIO. |
